It has been revealed by World Golf Awards that their Gala Ceremony for 2018 will return to the five-star La Manga Club resort. The resort is located in the region of Murcia in south-east Spain. 

About La Manga

La Manga is actually a strip of land 21 km long and 100 meters wide.  It separates the Mediterranean Sea from the Minor Sea lagoon.  It runs from Cabo de Palos to the Punta del Moon. This is a paradise worth visiting.  

Spending time at the beach of the Mar Menor is simply heavenly. Plan to spend nights at La Manga Club resort where the World Golf Awards will take place.  

About the World Golf Awards

The World Golf Awards is the most prestigious golf award program in the world. The event seeks to "celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, world-class courses, and golf destinations.” It takes place on November 1-4, 2018. The entire event is held at La Manga Club, which is considered "unrivaled" by the press and attendees. 

La Manga Club resort is set over an area of 1400 acres.   It features three 18-hole golf courses, and a 9-hole academy course. Founded in 1974, the resort has a long history of golf events and legends.  It is considered to be at the forefront of European destinations for European sports and leisure. 

Saturday, November 3 will see the highlights of the event: the red-carpet World Golf Awards Gala Ceremony. Market leaders and golf tourism figureheads from North America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Central & South America and Australasia will gather to announce the winners at the club's Hotel Principe Felipe. 

“It was a tremendous privilege for La Manga Club to be chosen to host the 2017 World Golf Awards on our landmark 45th anniversary, and it’s very exciting that the event will be returning again in November," Eduardo Ruiz, Director of Golf at La Manga Club commented.
