What experiences can you expect at the Ice Palace in Transylvania?

The Ice Palace in Transylvania, Romania is virtually the only hotel in the world that’s made of ice! It’s a once in a lifetime kind of experience! Romania is a beautiful country with the scenic views and mediaeval towns.

The Ice Palace is kind of a Fairytale Hotel on a mountain. By day you can enjoy outdoor activities like sledging or riding on a snowmobile. If you are not the adventurous type then you can still enjoy the view with a hot drink during the day.

By night, however, is a whole different experience. The evening begins in the Ice Palace with the 4-course meal served on ice plates on an ice carved table. You won't be sitting on ice though because the chairs are fur-lined so you will be comfortable.

You will never forget the room you slept in. The rooms in the Ice Palace are made completely of ice! You are given sleeping bags to snuggle into to try to preserve your body heat.

There is a lot more to experience in Transylvania. After spending two days at the ice Palace, you can transfer to a traditional accommodation in the countryside or in the local village. It's a mediaeval town and you are encouraged to take part in the local village activities, including rides in one of the authentic horse carts to get a full experience of Transylvania. The whole Transylvania experience is not complete without a visit to the Dracula Castle.
