Checklist Before Cruising To The Bahamas

As with international travel, cruising to Bahamas entails adequate preparations as listed below.
- Obtain a passport. On boarding a cruise ship, passengers are screened and are expected to present their valid passports from their country of origin.
- Get a visa. This isn’t required for US and Canadian citizens. However, non-Americans or non Canadian s may need a multiple-entry US visa and if necessary, a Bahamian visa.
- A valid ID.Besides a passport and a visa, travellers may be expected to present a valid government-issued identification card.
- Proof of citizenship. Naturalization isn’t likely to be accepted by the cruise line. Students may need to have a completed form 194 as well as valid signed paperwork from the school.
- Book the cruise ship at least 3 months prior to the travel date to get a good deal on the tickets.
- Inform the cruise line if you need special assistance such as adapted toilets in the communal areas, adapted armchairs, elevator and access ramps.
- Travel insurance.
- Check baggagerequirements of the cruise line when paying for the luggage. Comply with any rules, conditions, laws and regulations.
