Don’t Forget To Use The Elevators That Can Take You To 95 Floors In A Minute

Shanghai World Financial Center (SWFC) was initiated in 1997 following a stint with economic downtime and financial crisis in Asia. The original builders probably wanted to set a record with SWFC being the tallest building in the world. This is why there was an addition of seven floors to the building after revisions of the original plans. 

Some floors were reserved for shopping malls, while others were for the purpose of commercial offices. A large number of floors in the building are used for the Park Hyatt Hotel, while a few at the top are reserved for sightseeing.

The SWFC can live through an earthquake of magnitude 8 on the Richter scale. The building is installed with obstacle indicator lights that warn aircrafts that fly at a low altitude. There are even two wind dampers on board that cut down wind acceleration. There are lighting conductors to guard the building from lighting strokes.

Entry tickets are sold at the building, where visitors can go up using the elevator to a platform used for sightseeing. Tourists and visitors can enjoy a comprehensive view of Shanghai from their perch on the tower. A similar view can be enjoyed when you are at the Park Hyatt Hotel.


The most popular mode of movement among the different floors of the building is through elevators. They are quick and quite efficient. They go up to 95 floors in a single minute. Elevators take individuals to all the different floors with their unique exigencies. There are special elevators to the Observatory. There are special elevators meant to take guests to  the Park Hyatt Hotel.
